For this tutorial you will need:

Paint Shop Pro 8 ~ download a trial version here.
Eye Candy 4000 or Eye Candy 3.1 Version

The steps for all three tutorials are basically the
same with the exception of the number of stripes.

 

*Note:  I use full size images for my tutorials so please allow the page to fully load.

OKAY!  Let's get started.  Be sure you save often.

Open a 500 x 300 transparent image:

 

Add a New Raster Layer and name it usa.  Go to Selections>Load from Disk and load the usmap.sel

Set your foreground color to black and your background color to white.  Flood fill with black.  Go to Selections>Modify>Contract> by 1 and then flood fill with white.  Deselect.

Add a new raster layer and name it blue.  Load from Disk the blue.sel.  Change your foreground color to

#010185 and flood fill.  Leave selected.  Go to Effects>Inner Bevel> and use these settings:

Deselect.
