For this tutorial you will need the following:

 

  PSP 8 trial version:  Download here.

Super Blade Pro trial version:  Download here.

Blade Pro bevel_soft preset:  Download the zip here.

Visman Filters:  Download the zip here. 

Gradient:  Working_Man_Shirt:  Download the zip here.

 

 

Blade Pro:  unzip and place in your PSP plugin folder.

Blade Pro bevel_soft present goes in your PSP Plugin > Environments and Texture folder.

Visman Filters:  unzip and place in your PSP Plugin folder.

Working_man_shirt gradient:  unzip and place in your PSP Gradient folder.

 

Open a new image with these settings:

 

1. Flood fill with a color of your choice.  I am using #DOBDE9.

2. Go to Effects > Plugins > VM Toolbox > Grid and use these settings:

 

 

3. Next use the Magic Wand with a setting of Tolerance 10, Feather 0,  and
click on one of the squares and go to Select > Modify > Similar Selections and
now all your squares should have 'marching ants'.

 

 

4. Change your fill color to gradient and choose a gradient of your
choice...for this one I am using working_man_shirt with these settings: 

 

 

5. Flood fill each column with your gradient.  Now go to Effects > Blade Pro > bevel_soft preset with these settings:   

 

Deselect.

 

You should have something similar to this: 

 

6. Now open a new 200 X 200 image and repeat Steps 1-4.

 

Deselect.

 

7. Add a new Raster layer and flood fill with white #FFFFFF.  Active your
Layer Palette  and lower this layer to 50% opacity.  Go to Layers > Merger>
Merge visible.  It should look something like this:

 

 

9. Now activate your 150 X 150 image.  Go to Image > Rotate > with these settings:

 

 

It should look similar to mine:

10.  Now Edit > Copy > and activiate your 200 X 200 image. 

 

11.  Edit > Paste as a New Layer and set opacity at 30%.

 

 

12.  Go to Layers > Merge > Merge All Flatten as save as a jpeg.  Your finished tile should resemble mine:
