Let's begin.  Open a new transparent image  150 X 150:

Open up my star tube in PSP.  Go to Edit>Copy and then
Edit>Paste as a New Layer on your image.

Now choose a color from the color palette you would like for the star to be close in color to.  I say this as it will not be 100% accurate and it requires playing around with and I find that the dark colors tend to do better than the light colors.

I choose #008000:
