For
this tutorial you will need the following:
PSP
9 ~ download
a trial version here.
ULead
Art Texture free version ~ Download here
My
Selections ~ Download here
Place
your selections in your selections folder.
My
Images ~ Download here. The
patterns go in your PSP patterns folder, the textures bricks2 and
crackled.bmp go in the Textures folder in PSP and my tubes are to be opened
in PSP.

Please
be patient as I use full-size screen shots... so
the loading of the page will be somewhat slower.
Let's
get started we have a lot of work ahead of us.
Remember
to save often.
You
will do these steps on each selection unless otherwise stated:
Download the
selection and go to Selections > Modify > Expand by 1.
Okay
now open a transparent image 450 X 600.
Change
your background to null and foreground to pattern and use the
pattern 'stone tile' that I included in the zip..Scale
100% Angle 90:

Add
a new raster layer and name it castle front. Selections >
Load from Disk > castlefront.sel and Selections > Modify
> Expand by 1 and floodfill with pattern. Selections >
Invert and apply this drop shadow:

Deselect.
Save
Set
your foreground to solid color and background null.
Add
a new layer and name it tower1. Load from Disk >
tower1.sel and expand by 1 and floodfill with color #8A694D...keep
selected. Go to Effects > Texture Effects > Textures
> bricks2.bmp and use these settings:

Deselect.
Save.
